Chlorination

Once an installation is complete, it is vital to chlorinate and flush through all pipework prior to use. This is especially important when using a temporary water supply, as residual chlorine levels in the source will deteriorate over time, unlike a mains supply which has a constant level of chlorine present, reducing the risk of bacterial contamination.

T.E.S.S. will ensure that effective chlorination of pipe work, containers, fittings and connections will be carried out before use, in line with recommendations in BS 8551:2015. Only materials approved under Regulation 31 of the Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations 2000 (as amended) will be used.
